What is Karma? Karma is both the action and the consequence of that action. Every action generates a force of energy that returns to us in like-kind. The Law of Karma involves the law of attraction. Whatever we input into the world, people, and even situations yields the same output. That’s why it’s important for us to take note of the type of the type of seeds that we plant because everything – good or bad – comes to fruition.

WE ARE ESSENTIALLY CHOICE MAKERS. We are in the field of possibilities where we have access to an infinity of choices. Some choices are made consciously while others are not. The best way to understand and maximize the use of karmic law is to be consciously aware of the choices we make in every moment. Everything that is happening at this very moment is a result of the choices that you have made in the past. Unconscious choices are still choices regardless if we think they are/aren’t. Most of us have become bundles of conditioned reflexes that are constantly being triggered by people and circumstances into predictable outcomes of behaviors. We become so regulated by the “should’s“, “don’ts”, and “rules” of society that we become so xenophobic of breaking a part from the standards and expectations that are “normal” for fear of being judged. Most people, as a result of conditioning, have predictable responses to stimuli in our environment.  Our reactions are triggered by outside forces and we forget that these are still choices that we are making in every moment of our existence. Instead of reacting, try to step back and witness the choices that you’re making as you make them. When we make any choice there are two questions we can ask ourselves: 1) “What are the consequences of this choice I’m making?” & 2) “Will this choice bring happiness to me and those around me?” The answer can be found in how our body reacts to choice we’ve made. Ask your heart what to do and wait for a bodily response. The Heart  knows the correct answer. Beyond the heart being a mushy organ it is intuitive; holistic, it’s contextual and it’s relational. It doesn’t have a win-lose orientation like the brain does. The Heart taps into the cosmic power – the field of pure potentiality, pure knowledge, and infinite organizing power – and takes everything into account. Your heart in this state, is far more precise than anything within the limits of rational thoughts.

The Law of Karma can be used to create money and affluence, and the flow of all good things to you anytime you want. But, first you have to be consciously aware that your future is generated by the choices you are making in every moment of your life. The more your choices are brought into the level of conscious awareness, the more you will make those choices which are spontaneously correct – for yourself as well as others.

PAST KARMA: Past Karma influences your present whether you like it or not There are three things that you can do about past karma:

1. PAY YOUR KARMIC DEBTS. Most people choose to do that (unconsciously of course) but this can also be a choice you make. Suffering may be involved but no debt goes unpaid. Karma is a “to fro” exchange of energy.

2. TRANSMUTE OR TRANSFORM YOUR KARMA TO A MORE DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE. To do this you can ask yourself: “What can I learn from this experience?”, “Why is this happening and what is the message that the universe us giving to me?”, “How can I make this experience useful to my fellow human beings?”  You plant the seed of opportunity then tie the seed with dharma, with your purpose in life (7th Law) and transmute it to a new expression. The book gives an example about breaking your leg while playing sports. Instead of sulking you can evaluate the situation and write a book about safety or create a show or leg support for other athletes who play sports.  This way while you’re paying your karmic debt you will have also converted the adversity into a benefit that may bring you wealth and fulfillment. Transmute your negative to a positive.

3. TRANSCEND IT. Become independent of your karma. To do this you keep experiencing the gap, The SELF, your spirit. It’s kind of like washing dirty clothes. Each time you wash the soiled clothing it gets cleaner. Your transcend your karma by going into the gap and coming out again through meditation.

All actions are karmic episodes that generate memory and memory has the ability and potentiality to generated desire. Desire generates action again. The operational software of our soul is karma, memory, and desire. These three things are seeds that create soul bundles of consciousness. When you’re conscious of these seeds of manifestation, you actively become  a conscious generator of reality. It’s through this conscious choice making that generates an evolutionary action.
